Founded in 1989, the original goal of the Zip Code Lottery was to contribute
to a cleaner and more equitable world. The Zip Code Lottery has since grown
to be the biggest lottery for charity in the Netherlands. More than 2
million people (about 14% of the entire Dutch population) play the lottery,
and the entire net profit is donated to 56 charitable organizations,
including Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Over 2 billion euros have been
donated since the lottery's inception in 1989.
Upon Sea Shepherd's selection as a lottery beneficiary, the Netherlands
became the country with the largest number of indirect supporters of
Neptune's Navy. Historically, there has always been a bond between Sea
Shepherd and the Netherlands, and we have enjoyed a great deal of support
over the years, although never to this extent. Many of our veteran crew
members are from the Netherlands, and they are all extremely proud of their
little country for this big deed. |

Native Foods California Vegan: In order to move in a positive direction for the future of our children, animals, the planet, health, and consciousness, the Western diet should be directed toward an organic vegetarian/vegan diet. At Native Foods we have incorporated our experiences in food service, travel and healthy cooking to offer you an ethnic fusion of bright colors, rich flavors, and delicious textures in a quick- service, stylish, fresh and fun way. In our menu concept we unite both the vegetarian and the traditional diner, and in doing so we specialize in introducing alternative tasty textures, which include tempeh and seitan. These foods have ancient origins and making them -- which we do from scratch -- is a fine craft. Our talent lies in bringing new artistry, creativity and flair to vegetarian cuisine. We aim to transform the image of vegetarianism of the 1960's and 1970's into a delicious and enticing version for the twenty-first century. |
