Quiet day in the ZTA today. One cluster of 13 dive pangas around the CW sector of the ZTA. No Navy vessel activity was observed. No SITREP was sent. Two Bryde’s whales (Balaenoptera brydei) around 12m long were observed spouting and swimming around ship between 08:30-09:30. Another two Bryde’s whales, a mother and calf, were seen spouting as we left the ZTA to anchor at 17:00. A large pod of ~200 long-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus capensis) were observed crossing our bow at 17:45.
