Notes: There were no pangas seen inside and outside the ZTA during the 17th of January between 20:00 and 23:00. The gap between 8:00 and 13:00 was because the ship went closer to San Felipe harbor to be able to pick up guests coming onboard.
During the first hours of the day there wasn’t any activity in the ZTA, and early in the morning the first pangas started to come out but did not stay inside the area. When we started moving towards the ZTA after 12:00 we spotted a panga pulling a net just in the south border of the area at around 12:30. A Navy vessel (defender) made its way to this panga and stayed until the net was completely out of the water. This Navy vessel stayed around several hours of the evening, which was quiet, just a group of clamp divers were present in the ZTA.

Figure 1. Panga activity in the ZTA today. The potential net fishing pangas from early in the morning and the ones at 18:00 were all crossing the ZTA.
