Note: The Seahorse was drifting close to San Felipe from 7:00 until around 15:30 while the presentation event took place.
Total number of different pangas fishing today in the ZTA: 1.
Today we approached to San Felipe early in the morning to host the event happening for the official presentation of the Seahorse to the campaign. When the event finished around 15:00 we headed back to the ZTA. Shorty after we entered the area, we encountered one net in the water and a panga standing by nearby (Don Chilo 9). We communicated with the Navy and while we were waiting, we spotted a second net in the water just in the edge of the ZTA. When the Defender vessel arrived the panga started to retrieve their net. At 18:00 an Interceptor arrived while the panga was in the process of retrieving the second net. They finished around 19:00 and the Interceptor followed them as they were leaving the ZTA. Ten minutes after, another panga that was outside of the ZTA approached to us to ask where the boundaries of the area are.
