At 00:00 on the 11th of march, the radar showed a panga stationary in the ZTA, we started to approach to check if it was fishing, and when we got closer the boat left the area in the direction of San Felipe. After that, the Navy Warship was patrolling the ZTA, we found a large number of migratory birds in the ZTA, mostly Surf Scooters (Melanitta perspicillata). The early morning was calm, until around noon, when a large number of pangas started to arrive at the Central and South area of the Vaquita Refuge, a small number in the buffer zone, but none entered the ZTA to fish. We encountered a Fin Whale and a Bryde’s whale inside the ZTA.
