Total number of different small boats fishing today in the ZTA Buffer Zone: 5.

Around 9 in the morning, boats started to cross to the north of the ZTA, we started to see clusters of boats fishing in that Vaquita refuge and the buffer zone.

The Sea horse Approached the West of the ZTA to launch the drone and confirm a small fishing boat with nets inside of the ZTA, we reported to the navy. Around 9:39 they start dropping another net in the water, the interceptor is route to the zone.

Minutes after, the boat start pulling the net when they saw the navy coming.

Once the interceptor arrived and checked that the net was inside the ZTA, the interceptor proceeds to retrieve the net from the water, at the same time the boat was pulling in the other net. Another fishing boat approached fast in the direction of the interceptor, the 3 boats are in the same area and start talking(nets are being pulled at the same time) one of the fishing boats left the area right after.

Once the net was pulled out of the water the navy stayed talking with the fishing boat, and minutes after they threw a rope at the navy vessel, the engine was not working properly so the navy help them to go back to San Felipe.

Around 10:25 both left the area.

The fishing activity outside of the ZTA remained all afternoon.

Most of the fishing boats started to go back to San Felipe around 6:30.
