Yesterday evening we went southeast of the ZTA to drift during the night, as the hydrophone devices for the vaquita population study are set through all the ZTA. The weather forecast for the day was not good for Vaquita Survey conditions. In the morning we headed to the ZTA and arrived shortly after 10:00. Straight away we saw a Navy speedboat retrieving a net from a small boat that was right on the border inside the ZTA at the south area. The small boat was pulling as well from the other side, and in the end, they cut it and left to the southeast. We then arrived at the centre of the ZTA and confirmed the diving activity of the pangas spotted there. The small diving boats started to leave in the afternoon. Little to no activity of small boats between 16:00 to 23:00.
