Activity started shortly before 6:00; about 11 small boats crossed the ZTA heading north – northeast. At 8:00 we spotted a few targets on the radar in the center area of the ZTA Extension, and 40 minutes later we confirmed there were 9 small boats with about 6-7 nets (pair of flags in the surface) were counted with binoculars in the extension. Considering that visual observation of nets in the water have limitations regarding identifying the same ones after an hour, the number of different small boats fishing in the extension is a downward approximation.

At 15:00 we saw five small boats on the northeast side of ZTA Extension close to the border with ZTA; at the same position there were two Navy vessels anchored.  An hour later, there were seven small boats at the same spot. During the early evening time some small boats crossed the area going back to San Felipe and some small boats were present in the Vaquita Refuge, south of the ZTA.
