The Sea Shepherd Victoria Chapter began growing in Spring 2018 as Vancouver Island’s first chapter-less group! Local volunteer, Lotus Cooper started the efforts along with some assistance from the Vancouver Chapter. Since that time she has been joined by many volunteers, another coordinator, and been happily received by our many supporters. We were made official in June 2019! We are the 6th Canadian chapter and the second in British Columbia.
Sea Shepherd Victoria is passionate about defending, conserving and protecting the oceans, along with all the amazing beings that live within it or depend on it. Follow our Facebook page to learn more about what we are up to!
We look forward to meeting our supporters at local events! We are also looking for more potential volunteers to join with us as we continue to grow. If you want to apply as an onshore volunteer with us (OSV), please go to the link below.
The Victoria Chapter operates out of Victoria but is involved all over Vancouver Island and the surrounding islands, which we acknowledge as the unceded territories of the Coast Salish, Nuu-chah-nulth & Kwakwakaʼwakw people.
