Illegal, Unregulated, and Unreported (IUU) Fishing is a driving force behind marine species collapse and environmental degradation. It pushes marine animals—like porpoises, sharks, and sea turtles—toward extinction. Sea Shepherd is one of the few organizations actively working with governments to patrol and monitor the world’s oceans, intercepting illegal vessels and safeguarding marine life.
