July Frontlines Update
Every day, around the world, Sea Shepherd crews, volunteers, and supporters are working to protect marine wildlife and defend the ocean. Here are some of the highlights from the past month.
Strengthening Partnerships in Mexico
Conservation doesn't happen on the water alone. This month, Sea Shepherd joined fishing leaders, community members, government representatives, and conservation organizations in Celestun, Yucatan, to strengthen cooperation against illegal fishing and support long-term protection of the region's marine ecosystems.

The gathering included the inauguration of a new community monitoring station equipped with communications equipment that will help improve coordination with the authorities responsible for fisheries enforcement.
Our crew also welcomed members of the community aboard the M/V Sharkwater to share more about Sea Shepherd's work in Mexico and our long-term commitment to protecting the country's marine protected areas.
These partnerships are an important part of conservation. Lasting protection depends on local communities, government agencies, and organizations working together toward the same goal.
Crewmembers Deployed in the Faroe Islands
Sea Shepherd crews continue documenting the grind and supporting efforts to bring international attention to the ongoing killing of pilot whales and dolphins.

Beyond the work on the ground, we continue expanding the Grind Action Toolkit, making it easier for supporters everywhere to contact decision-makers, engage elected officials, and help increase pressure for change.
Every action adds another voice to a growing international movement.
The Antarctic Campaign Continues
Although krill season is over and our Antarctic ship has returned from the Southern Ocean, the campaign continues. Evidence gathered during the mission is helping drive a growing international effort to end the sale of krill oil products.

Across Europe, retailers including dm, Rossmann, and Holland & Barrett have committed to removing krill products from their shelves, representing tens of thousands of stores. Attention is now turning to the United States.
Consumers, business owners, and community leaders can all take part by using the Antarctic Krill Toolkit or signing the Antarctic Krill Pledge if they own or operate a retail business.
Protecting Antarctica doesn't end when a voyage is over. It continues through education, advocacy, and collective action.
Take Action Close to Home
Sea Shepherd's work isn't limited to the ocean. Upcoming events are already scheduled in Houston, Chicago, Seattle, Toronto, and other communities.
Whether it's a cleanup, meet-and-greet, educational event, or volunteer opportunity, these gatherings help build stronger local communities working together to protect the ocean.
