Concert Series · Fall 2026
A musician who has crewed Sea Shepherd ships is taking the ocean on tour. Nine nights this fall, across Canada.
Music can bring a room full of strangers together. The ocean can remind us that we belong to a world far beyond ourselves. Both have the power to make us pause, pay attention, and feel part of something bigger.
Musician and conservationist Samuel J brings those experiences together. Through live music, storytelling, and gatherings that invite people to participate, he encourages a closer relationship with the planet we share.
That commitment has taken him aboard Sea Shepherd ships as a volunteer, working alongside crews dedicated to defending marine wildlife. His music carries that experience with it.

Front Lines to Music
Much of Sea Shepherd's story is told through confrontation. The ships, the illegal fishing, and the tactics needed to protect marine wildlife command attention. That work is urgent. But in the noise of the conflict, the reason behind it can become harder to hear.
We are there for the ocean, the life beneath the surface, and the understanding that we share this planet with creatures whose lives matter beyond their usefulness to us.
Samuel gives that part of the story a place onstage, reaching people who might not otherwise encounter Sea Shepherd's work. The performances combine music and dance with local artists, conservation speakers, wellness experiences, and music expression workshops. These gatherings create spaces where people can connect and engage with ideas about how we live on this planet.
Ocean Bloom
Bringing the Ocean Into the Room
Ocean Bloom pairs Samuel's live music with underwater cinematography by filmmaker, conservationist, and Emmy Award winner Shawn Heinrichs. The project was created around a simple idea: help people experience the beauty of the ocean so they feel compelled to protect it.

Together, the music and imagery bring audiences closer to marine life many will never encounter firsthand. Proceeds from Ocean Bloom events have supported ocean protection organizations and local initiatives, turning that experience into support for conservation.
